Why Wasn T Daniel In The Next Karate Kid? [Solved]
Well, Daniel-san was 33 years old when he said he wasn’t interested in becoming the Sylvester Stallone of Karate Kid movies. But 24 years later, he changed his tune and agreed to star in the Cobra Kai TV series for YouTube’s new streaming service. I guess you could say time heals all wounds!
Daniel LaRusso: The protagonist of the Karate Kid franchise, Daniel is a teenage boy who moves to California and learns karate from Mr. Miyagi in order to defend himself against bullies.
Mr. Miyagi: A wise and experienced martial arts master, Mr. Miyagi teaches Daniel the fundamentals of karate and helps him develop his skills over the course of the films.
Cobra Kai Dojo: The rival dojo to Mr. Miyagi’s, Cobra Kai is run by John Kreese and is home to many of Daniel’s bullies, including Johnny Lawrence and Bobby Brown.
Karate Tournament: In order for Daniel to prove himself as a karate student, he must compete in an All-Valley Karate Tournament against his rivals from Cobra Kai Dojo in order to win the championship title for himself and his teacher, Mr Miyagi
Wax On/Wax Off Technique: One of the most iconic scenes from The Karate Kid involves Mr Miyagi teaching Daniel how to wax cars using a technique that also helps him learn basic karate moves such as blocking punches with his arms crossed over his chest (the “wax on” motion).
Yeah, Daniel was the Karate Kid! He was a total natural at it, and he totally kicked butt. He had all the moves down pat and could do ’em like nobody’s business. Plus, he had that cool headband to top it off. It was awesome!
