Hi, iam Christina Dickerson, Have an A+ day.

Wow, what a hot year it’s been! I don’t know about you, but I’m already feeling the heat. From record-breaking temperatures to sweltering days, this year has been one for the books. It’s like Mother Nature is cranking up the thermostat and there’s no way to cool down. But hey, at least we can take solace in knowing that we’re all in this together!

Why Is It So Hot This Year? [Solved]

Wow, it sure was hot this summer! Along the coast of Texas, over 60 days had temperatures that were made more likely by climate change. And it wasn’t just there - most climate divisions in the US experienced days like that. Crazy, huh?

  1. Record-Breaking Temperatures: 2020 was the hottest year on record, with global temperatures reaching an average of 1.2°C above pre-industrial levels.

  2. Extreme Weather Events: The extreme heat caused numerous weather events, including droughts, floods, and wildfires across the globe.

  3. Melting Ice Caps: Arctic sea ice melted to its second-lowest level since records began in 1979, while Antarctic sea ice also declined significantly throughout the year.

  4. Rising Sea Levels: Global sea levels rose by an average of 3mm in 2020 due to melting glaciers and thermal expansion of ocean water as it warms up from climate change.

  5. Increased Carbon Emissions: Despite efforts to reduce emissions, global carbon dioxide concentrations continued to rise throughout 2020 due to human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation

It’s been a scorcher of a year! With temperatures soaring, it’s been one hot summer after another. We’ve all been feeling the heat, and it doesn’t look like it’s gonna cool down anytime soon. Yikes! Let’s just hope we can make it through this sizzling season without melting away.
