Greetings, iam George Boutte, So long!
Well, you might be surprised to hear it, but Jehovah’s Witnesses actually do vote! Yep, despite their beliefs that they should remain politically neutral and not get involved in politics, many Jehovah’s Witnesses still choose to exercise their right to vote. It’s a personal decision that each Witness must make for themselves. But hey, if you’re curious about why some Jehovah’s Witnesses decide to cast a ballot and others don’t - read on!
Why Can’T Jehovah’S Witnesses Vote? [Solved]
They reckon Jesus’ rejection of the Devil’s offer to rule the world, his refusal to be crowned king of Israel by the Jews, and his insistence that he and his followers aren’t part of this world, are all reasons why they shouldn’t get involved in politics or government. Y’know?
- Beliefs: Jehovah Witnesses believe that voting is a personal decision and should not be imposed on others.
- Neutrality: Jehovah Witnesses remain politically neutral and do not support any political party or candidate.
- Participation: While they do not vote, Jehovah Witnesses are encouraged to participate in the political process by writing letters to their representatives, attending public meetings, and engaging in other forms of peaceful protest or advocacy.
- Education: Jehovah Witnesses are encouraged to stay informed about current events and issues so they can make informed decisions when it comes to participating in the political process without voting.
- Respect: Regardless of their beliefs, Jehovah Witnesses respect the right of others to vote and will never criticize those who choose to do so.
Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t vote in elections, ‘cause they believe it’s not their place to decide who should be in power. They think that God will take care of that, so they don’t get involved in politics. That said, they do still have a voice and can express their opinions on issues - just not through the ballot box!
