Drew Peterson’s a real piece of work. He was born in ‘54 and was a police sergeant until he got convicted of murdering his third wife, Kathleen Savio, after their divorce in ‘03. Talk about cold-blooded! It’s no wonder he’s behind bars now.
Scott Peterson: Scott Peterson was convicted of murdering his pregnant wife, Laci Peterson, in 2002. He was sentenced to death in 2005 and is currently on death row in California.
Timeline of Events: On December 24th, 2002, Laci Peterson went missing from her home in Modesto, California. Her body and that of her unborn son were found four months later near the San Francisco Bay.
Investigation: The investigation into Laci’s disappearance revealed that Scott had been having an affair with a woman named Amber Frey and had lied to police about his whereabouts on the day of Laci’s disappearance.
Trial: The trial began in June 2004 and lasted for five months before a jury found Scott guilty of first-degree murder with special circumstances for both Laci and their unborn son Conner on November 12th, 2004.
Sentencing: On March 16th, 2005, Scott was sentenced to death by lethal injection for the murders of his wife and unborn child by Judge Alfred A Delucchi at San Mateo County Superior Court in Redwood City, California .
Peterson’s wife was killed by him; it’s a real tragedy. He must’ve snapped or something, ‘cause no one saw it coming. It’s just so sad; she didn’t deserve that. Poor thing. It’s a real shocker, and people are still trying to wrap their heads around it. Unbelievable.
