Well, it’s no secret that Jesus was a man of prayer. He often went off to be alone and pray, so it’s safe to say that he spent a good amount of time in prayer. But just how much time did Jesus spend praying? That’s the million-dollar question! It’s hard to know for sure, but we can get an idea from the Bible. According to scripture, Jesus prayed early in the morning and late at night - sometimes even all night long! He also prayed during his travels and when he was teaching. So it looks like Jesus devoted quite a bit of time to prayer - which is something we can all learn from!
What Time Did Jesus Pray? [Solved]
Well, Jesus was no slouch when it came to prayer! He said grace before meals, at the Last Supper and at Emmaus. Plus, Torrey points out that Jesus prayed early in the morning and late into the night - before and after big events in his life. And even when he was super busy, he still found time to pray.
Garden of Gethsemane: Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane shortly before his arrest and crucifixion. He asked God to take away the cup of suffering he was about to endure, but ultimately accepted God’s will.
Mount of Olives: Jesus often went to the Mount of Olives to pray, as it was a place where he could be alone with God and find solace from the crowds that followed him.
Early Morning Prayers: Jesus would often rise early in the morning and go off by himself to pray (Mark 1:35). This was a time for him to commune with his Father and seek strength for his ministry ahead.
All Night Prayers: On at least one occasion, Jesus spent an entire night in prayer (Luke 6:12). This was likely a time when he sought guidance from God on important decisions or asked for strength during difficult times.
Last Supper Prayer: At the Last Supper, Jesus prayed over bread and wine as symbols of his body and blood that would soon be sacrificed on behalf of mankind (Matthew 26:26-29).
Jesus was known for spending a lot of time in prayer. He’d often be found praying early in the morning, late at night, and even throughout the day. In fact, it seemed like no matter what Jesus was doing or where he was going, he always made time to pray.
